Algebra 1 Curriculum
Algebra Essentials
Algebra 1
Honors Algebra 1
This curriculum plan was developed by a Summer Math Committee in the Summer of 2006. All four Rockford high schools had representatives present as well as Polly Perkins (District 205 Curriculum Director), Marcia Strothoff (District 205 High School Math Coordinator), and Nanci Smith (Curriculum Consultant) who contributed to its content . This plan is expected to be implemented in the Fall of 2006 with essentially the same topics and timetable used in ALL THREE levels of algebra 1. Formatting for html and website links were added later as a convenient reference for both teachers and students.
If you do not have MS Powerpoint installed on your computer, download PowerPoint Viewer here.

This website had a GREAT graphing calculator that can be used for demos with a full-size screen. (Scroll down to the bottom in Appendix A)
*** Other parts of this are great for geometry too.

Problem Solving: (All topics - all year) http://www.thefutureschannel.com/algebra_real_world.php This is a GREAT resource for online videos in the classroom and student worksheets with teacher keys and materials all "ready-made" for algebra. ================================================== www.AlgebraNotes.com This website is a COMPLETE PowerPoint lesson for each section of our textbook. It is an excellent resource for teachers as well as students who are absent from class. Simply choose the topic, then click on first mini-slide and use the arrows to advance. Remedial or extra practice: http://www.pre-algebranotes.com/ Pre-Algebra slide show broken down by topics will be very helpful in Algebra also. ========================================= www.classzone.com This is the publisher's website that goes along with our textbook. It has a wide variety of activities to go with each lesson and therefore can be used with any topic we cover. Included are extra examples, crossword puzzles, flipcards, applications, and career explorations. http://www.onlinemathlearning.com/algebra-help.html
