These
packets are designed to help students prepare
for their next math class at GHS. Although you
should have had all the concepts contained in
these packets in previous classes, the packets
will give you an overview of the essentials that
you should know coming into your new math class.
For example, if you have completed Honors
Geometry at GHS and are enrolling in College
Algebra for the 2004-2005 school year - for many
students it has been over a year since you had
Algebra in eighth grade. It is also our
observation that some middle school classes are
unable to cover the FULL algebra course -
reviewing these topics and coming to class fully
prepared will be essential to getting a great
start in your next course.
If you need to brush up on any of the
topics this summer, we suggest that you search
the web for the specific topic. There is an
abundance of helpful FREE math resources found
on the internet. |

| All the files listed below
are in PDF format and can easily be downloaded
and printed at your convenience. Students are
expected to print their own copy, complete the
work, and then bring it to class the first week
of school in August. |

| * Students who are enrolling in
"Intermediate Algebra" may consider doing the
College Algebra Packet as the required basics
for these two classes are very similar. |
