Alumni
This new committee in 2008
welcomes all volunteers to help develop a database of
Guilford High alumni and coordinate special events and
mailings in an effort to establish, grow and maintain
Alumni membership for Guilford High School.

Carpe Diem
Responsible for working with the teachers to run the
Renaissance Program at Guilford that recognizes students
for achievement and attendance. Help to reward our
students with incentives they earn. This is a fun way to
be involved with students and other parents.

Concessions
Responsible for managing the concessions stand at home
football, basketball, cheerleading competition, Viking
Spirit Night, annual Garage Sale and other events.
Activities include ordering and stocking food product,
organizing volunteers and coordinating the 50/50 raffles
at home football and basketball games.

Dances
Responsible for organizing the Booster Club sponsored
dances. This committee is responsible for planning the
Father/Daughter & Mother/Son dances. The Father/Daughter
& Mother/Son subcommittee is responsible for activities
such as the invitations, decorations, food and beverage,
arranging for the DJ, selection of gifts, etc.

Hospitality
Responsible for coordinating the Teacher Appreciation
Luncheon, refreshments at orientations, Open House,
parent-teacher conferences and Memories & Reflections.
Activities include obtaining door prizes for the teacher
appreciation luncheon and organizing staffing for the
teacher luncheon, orientations, open houses and
conferences. Develop invitations, selection of caterers,
decorating, working with volunteers and school staff.

Major Fundraisers
Responsible for managing and organizing staffing of the
annual Garage Sale, Village Green Christmas Sale,
Moonlight Bowling, Guilford Game Day and other major
fundraisers. Activities include planning, creating
sub-committees, working with the Marketing committee on
promotions, etc.

Market Day
Enter orders if not done online. Recruit volunteers,
distribute orders once a month.

Marketing Communications
Responsible for working with the other subcommittees to
increase awareness of Booster Club sponsored activities
both internally (within GHS) and externally. Activities
include increasing public communications, community
relations, advertising, developing ideas with the
committees, and creating advertising/promotional
displays, fliers, publishing the Guilford Booster Club
newsletter and updating Booster Club website. Also, be a
“welcoming” committee for new students and parents.
Gather information from clubs, events, teachers, and
parents to share with all facets of the media.

Membership/Mailing
Responsible for coordinating and managing the membership
drive targeting all GHS parents, faculty and business
sponsorships. Activities include organizing staffing at
registration, orientations, Open House and other school
functions for the membership campaign. Work with
marketing on newsletters and promotions related to
membership campaigns. Coordinate bulk mailings
including: stuffing, labeling, sealing and postage for
all direct mail produced by Booster Club including
invitations, newsletters and announcements.

Merchandise and Decals
Responsible for ordering and selling GHS Spirit Wear and
merchandise during school events, keeping inventory and
maintaining cost analysis. Activities include selecting
marketable products, receiving orders, and organizing
staffing to sell merchandise at home sporting events,
orientations, open houses, etc. Work with marketing on
developing promotions and responsible for organizing
staffing to sell sports, school and club decals.
