Welcome to the 2007-2008 School Year!
The
Guilford High School Booster Club is a volunteer
organization proudly serving Guilford staff,
students, and families
through a number of special events and annual
fundraisers which
support both academics and
athletics.
The money that is
raised throughout the school year through
fundraisers such as Membership, Market Day,
Concessions and the Spring Garage Sale
contribute
significantly to the quality of the school
experience for both students and staff..
Last year our efforts in raising
money resulted in $35,000 being given
back to
Guilford High School. This year, we are proud to
report that the club along with our extended
family of volunteers raised $38,000
during the 2006-2007 school year that will
directly benefit the
students and the school during the 2007-2008
school year.
Booster Club will deliver
$15,000 to academics for use in
purchasing equipment, books, and other items
requested by teachers. An equal amount of
$15,000 is dedicated to athletics for
the purchase of items requested
by the athletic department.
Our Carpe Diem program
supports students with classroom achievement
rewards and will receive $2,000
.We have $2,000 available for
clubs and $1,000 for special
requests. The school courtyard gardens will
receive $650 for landscaping and
$350 will be given to the National
Honor Society. This year, $2,000
has been allocated for a special project that
will be determined by Principal, Tim Kutz.
In addition to
fundraising, Booster Club also coordinates other
activities throughout the year for students and
staff which include: Fall Spirit Night,
Fall, Winter and Spring Sports
Recognition Nights, Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances,
Teacher Appreciation Luncheon and
Memories and Reflections (for graduating high
school seniors).
We also support and promote school spirit by
selling Guilford High School apparel,
merchandise and student athlete photo buttons.
We are able to meet
our goals because of your generous
contributions. By working together, we can
continue the Booster Club tradition of enriching
the academic and educational experience of our
students. Thank you for joining the Booster
Club! We look forward to another wonderful
opportunity for a successful year.
